But the newer SSDs are 3 or 4x faster than this product. In terms of performance (xbench), the SSD on a MBA rev B is faster than a Western Digital 320GB 7200 RPM HDD on a Macbook 4,1 (early 2008). Whether these products were cannibalized off of old MBAs is an open question. Although the seller claims these are brand new and used for system integrators, the product itself came in an open anti-static bag. What the seller conveniently doesn't tell you is that the drive was manufactured in 2010.01.06 (not visible really from the product pixellated images) and these were apparently the OEM drives shipped with the original MBA (2008) until maybe rev B (2009). Lion recognizes the drive as Apple SM128 (by contrast the version on the latest macbook air is Apple SM128E or F).
